That Suns In 4 Energy

If you haven’t seen the video by now, stop what you’re doing and watch the Suns in 4 guy, Nick McKellar, put on a show that was more entertaining than Mayweather vs. Paul. , personalized shout outs, and merch he’s autographed. It doesn’t end there either, he’s hosting after parties, hanging out with Jamal Murray and even got roasted by Anthony Mackie, as a 2x ESPY winner, boasting Most Fun After 2 Beers and Least Fun After 5 Beers. McKellar’s taking it to the moon, however, with the Suns - Bucks Finals now tied at 2-2, the hope for Suns in 4 is dead, but can the energy live on?

After all the stupid shit fans have done since being allowed back in stadiums, it seemed like this was going to be another instance of a couple rowdy fans taking things a bit too far. Instead we got a free PPV, complete with haymakers, a tag team, and ultimately, another loss the Nuggets fanbase has to come to terms with. Stars like Chris Paul and Devin Booker showed up for the action and even went so far as to congratulate McKellar with a signed jersey and tickets to the WCF against the Clippers.

At Game 1 of the WCF, Suns fans were handing out free t-shirts toting McKellar’s picture front and center. Many people were even lining up throughout the game to take pictures with the NBA’s newest viral sensation.

McKellar’s presence is obviously what inspired Booker’s first career triple-double. This led the Suns to the W, despite a 34-point performance from Paul George and the absence of CP3 due to COVID protocols. So, really, you could say none of this would’ve happened without that Suns in 4 Energy.

While Game 2 didn’t have any spectacular brawls, holy hell did it have that Suns in 4 energy! Pat Bev really tried to take out Booker, and it really, actually came down to the wire.

But history repeats itself. I knew it was going to end with an alley-oop attempt to Ayton. I won’t claim to know that they would pull it off, but this is not the first game winning oop in Suns history. Dragan Bender fed Tyson Chandler an absolute dime back in 2017 to beat the Grizzlies with less than one second left. Call the appropriately named, “Valley Oop,” to Ayton a fluke, a well drawn up play, or just dumb luck, but Suns in 4 Energy is clearly something special.

Now, we’re deep into the finals, and it’s not just the Suns who managed to get here. If you’ve kept up with McKellar since the start of his 15 minutes of fame, you would know that this guy is monetizing his image better than all of the NCAA’s athletes. For those of you who are still unimpressed, check out his Instagram page and you’ll see this guy fucks. He’s auctioning off action figures, of himself, personalized shoutouts, and merch he’s autographed.
